Burglary was reported on the 200 block of West John Street around 2:30 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim reported his vehicle was unlawfully entered and his wallet was stolen. The victim had no information about the suspect.

Arson was reported on the 200 block of South Third Street around 2 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, a couch fire damaged the siding of a house. The cause is unknown.

An arrest was made on the charge of battery on the 1700 block of Valley Road around midnight Sunday. According to the report, the suspect had battered the victim and was arrested.

University

Urbana

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 800 block of North Coler Avenue around 4 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender broke the victim’s front porch window.

An arrest was made on the charge of theft at Walmart, 100 S. High Cross Road, around 10 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the suspect took several items without rendering payment. He was issued a notice to appear in court for theft.

Theft was reported at Meijer, 2500 S. Philo Road, around 4 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s business and stole items. He fled when confronted by loss prevention officers.
