Champaign

Theft over $500 was reported on the 200 block of Charles Street around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, medication was stolen from the victim’s apartment. Ten counts of drugs or medicine was reported stolen.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 300 block of Buena Vista Drive around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victim’s vehicle was left unlocked and one firearm was reported stolen.

Two 20-year-old males were arrested on the charges of damaging property on the corner of South Third Street and East Armory Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Friday. According to the report, the two suspects were caught damaging a city sign.

University

A 44-year-old female was issued an Illinois notice to appear in court for theft of lost property at Townsend Hall, 928 W. Illinois St., Urbana, around 10 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the suspect is a University employee and was identified as the person who stole cash from a wallet in Townsend Hall on Aug. 27.

Urbana

A 26-year-old male was arrested on the charges of trespassing on the 600 block of West University Avenue around midnight, Wednesday. According to the report, the suspect previously had a no trespass notice for a local hospital. The suspect was visiting a friend at the hospital. He was issued a notice and released.

Theft of lost or mislaid property was reported on the 500 block of West University Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victim dropped money on the floor and the offender picked it up and left.

Theft over $500 was reported at Carle Hospital, 611 W. Park St., around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the offender took narcotic medication from Carle and admitted this theft to the human resources department after termination.
