An animal stray was reported on the 2000 block of Cureton Drive around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, an adult female rabbit with brown fur and lop ears was running at large and then moved to Champaign County animal control.

Theft under $500 was reported on the 1000 block of Smith Road around 3 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the offender took groceries from the victim’s front door without permission.

An arrest was made on charges of battery on the 200 block of Central Avenue around 7 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the suspect tried to batter the victim but then damaged the victim’s property.
