Theft over $500 was reported at Walmart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 11 a.m. Nov. 5. According to the report, a gumball machine was taken from the store by an unknown offender or offenders.

Lost articles were reported on the 200 block of North Vein Street at around 7 a.m. on Sept. 7. According to the report, a syringe with a red substance inside was found in a parking lot.

Battery was reported on the 1200 block of South Vine Street at around 2 a.m. on Sept. 7. According to the report, the offender and the victim were both intoxicated and started hitting each other with sticks.

Public indecency was reported on the 100 block of West Springfield Avenue around midnight Dec. 6. According to the report, a man was seen masturbating inside his vehicle in a public parking lot.

Impersonation of an officer was reported on the 100 block of South High Cross Road around 6 p.m. Nov. 12. According to the report, an unknown offender, who was identifying himself as a sheriff’s deputy, was in an online dating relationship with the victim. The offender threatened to write the victim a traffic ticket if they stopped talking to each other.
