Urbana

Home invasion and theft was reported on the 2100 block of South Vine Street, around midnight Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender entered an occupied residence through the unlocked front door. One of the homeowners confronted the offender stealing items. The offender then fired a handgun at the homeowner before leaving in the homeowner’s vehicle.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 1100 block of East Mumford Drive, around 8 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender used a pellet gun and damaged the window the victim’s home.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 400 block of East Colorado Avenue, around 3 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender used an unknown object to shatter the window of the victim’s vehicle.

University

Theft was reported at Memorial Stadium, 1402 S. First St., between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, a student’s cash and credit cards were stolen from her backpack that had been left unattended.

Champaign

Theft was reported on the 600 block of East Green Street, around 11 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the victim’s backpack was stolen from the sidewalk when he entered a local business.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 00 block of East Washington Street, around 7 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the offender damaged two of the tires on the victim’s vehicle.

Burglary was reported on the 200 block of South New Street, around 6 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, upon returning home after a vacation the victim discovered that one electronic gaming system inside the house had been stolen.
