Harassment was reported on the 2000 block of Joanne Lane around 1 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim was receiving emails from an unknown offender claiming to belong to the Zetas drug cartel. The offender told the victim to send money or else the cartel would harm his family.

Trespassing was reported on the 3700 block of Colleen Drive around 4 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s apartment for several minutes and left soon after.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 3800 block of Thornhill Drive around 1 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, a neighborhood entrance sign was damaged by an unknown offender.

University

Theft was reported at the Armory, 505 E. Armory Ave., around 10 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, a student fell asleep overnight in a classroom while studying and woke up the next morning to find their backpack missing. The backpack and its contents were valued at $290.

Disorderly conduct was reported at the Illini Union bus stop, 1401 W. Green St., around 4 p.m. Monday. According to the report, a boarding passenger attempted to use the bus’s services without paying the fare. When the bus driver asked the passenger to pay, the boarding passenger yelled at the bus driver and left the bus.

Urbana

Burglary was reported on the 900 block of Harvey Street around 12 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, an unknown offender broke into the victim’s garage and took several items.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 2000 block of Vawter Street around 12 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, two windows on the victim’s vehicle were damaged by an unknown offender.

Mob action was reported at Jackpot Discount, 2005 Philo Road, around 5 p.m. Monday. According to the report, three female offenders tried to pull the victim out of her vehicle while she was parked in Jackpot Discount’s parking lot. One of the offenders pepper-sprayed the victim after they failed to remove her from the vehicle. The victim has minor injuries, and the offenders fled the area.
