Champaign

Aggravated discharge of a firearm was reported in the 400 block of Taylor Thomas Lane, around 8 p.m. Monday. According to the report, a resident discovered a bullet hole through both walls of her garage as well as a hole in the vacant house next door. The holes may be related to an incident of shots fired in the area on Oct. 18.

Theft was reported in the 200 block of East John Street, around 6 p.m. Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole packages containing food and five clothing items.

Aggravated discharge of a firearm and criminal damage to property was reported in the 1600 block of Hedge Road, around 4 p.m. Monday. According to the report, two vehicles parked in a driveway overnight were struck by gunfire. 

University

An arrest was made on the charges of domestic battery at Turner Hall, 1102 S. Goodwin Ave., around 7 p.m. Monday. According to the report, a witness called the police after seeing a student in a physical altercation with another person.

Theft was reported at the Undergraduate Library, 1402 W. Gregory Dr., around 2 p.m. Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole the student’s coat while it was momentarily left unattended on the back of a chair in a public space. The coat was valued at approximately $20 and contained cash in one of its pockets.

Aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting a police officer was reported at the intersection of Green and Wright Street, around 11 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the offender stood between officers and a vehicle that police had stopped for an unrelated incident. The offender did not comply when police issued several verbal warnings for him to move back to the sidewalk and struggled with officers and at one point grabbed an officer’s arm when police attempted to physically move him out of the way.

Urbana

Disorderly conduct was reported at Florida House Apartments, 1502 E Florida Ave., around 1 p.m. Monday. According to the report, two acquaintances engaged in a verbal argument after news of a loved one’s death. One of the subjects claimed the other had made a threat of harm.

Non-consensual distribution of sexual images was reported in the 900 block of Saline Court, around 1 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender sent multiple people pornographic images of the victim via text without the victim’s permission to do so. 

Retail theft was reported at Shell, 1812 N. Cunningham Ave., around 7 a.m. Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender took two auto parts and accessories from the gas station without paying for the items.
