Champaign

Fraud and deception was reported in the 400 block of East Green Street around 12:30 p.m. Jan. 10. According to the report, fraudulent currency was used at two Walgreen’s stores. One piece of merchandise was reported stolen.

An arrest was made on the charges of domestic battery at Circle K, 601 N. Neil St., 9:30 p.m. Friday. According to the report, the suspect battered the victim, and both were uncooperative with police.

Assault and disorderly conduct was reported in the 1700 block of West Kirby Ave around 8:00 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, a store employee was threatened with battery from the boyfriend of another employee in retaliation for workplace discipline.

Urbana

Domestic battery and possession on a controlled substance was reported in the 800 block of Coler Avenue around 7:00 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the suspect and victim were fighting when the victim was moving out. Upon arrival at the Champaign County Sheriff Office jail a controlled substance was found in the suspect’s purse without a prescription.

Trespassing and criminal property damage was reported in the 1700 block of Melrose Village Circle around 9:30 p.m. Monday. The offender forced themself into the victim’s locked apartment bedroom and then spilled an unknown fluid on the victim’s walls and bed.

Aggravated battery was reported at Carle Foundation Hospital emergency room, 602 W. University Ave., around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday. The offender battered nurse staff during their performance of their duties at a local hospital.
