Champaign

Criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of West Columbia Avenue, around noon Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender slashed all four tires of the victim’s vehicle.

Armed robbery was reported in the 600 block of East White Street, around 11 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim was robbed at knife point during a transaction for an item for sale on Facebook Marketplace. The victim’s iPod, valued at approximately $350, was stolen by the offender.

Criminal damage to property was reported in the 100 block of East Green Street, around 9 a.m. Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender broke the handles of the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the victim’s parking garage. The cost of the damages is approximately $500.

University

An arrest was made on the charge of theft in the 700 block of West Oregon Street, around 6 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the suspect was identified as having stolen a gift card, cash and a coffee brewer from a secure room in Bevier Hall on Dec. 16. The suspect was issued a state notice to appear in court for the offense.

Urbana

Deceptive practices was reported in the 1300 block of Silver Street, around 4 p.m. Monday. According to the report, two unknown offenders identified themselves as police officers over the phone and had the victim purchase gift cards and provide them with the gift card numbers.

Criminal damage to property and trespassing was reported in the 2000 block of Vawter Street, around 4 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender entered and remained in a vacant apartment without permission from the owner. The offender also damaged the apartment’s front door lock during his stay.

Theft and credit card fraud was reported at Cracker Barrel, 2101 N. Kenyon Rd., around 1 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, three unknown offenders entered the business and stole cash, three credit/debit cards and one purse or wallet from patrons.
