Due to COVID-19, the Urbana Business Association has decided to cancel the in-person activities for the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival. The festival was scheduled for Aug. 21 and 22 of 2020.

The UBA is attempting to create a virtual experience for business and community members to enjoy.

This cancellation comes in support of Illinois’s five-stage plan to reopen the state following the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the City of Urbana’s decision to extend the suspension of event permits.

The UBA will continue to comply with the recommendations of the City of Urbana, Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Restore Illinois plan.
