Champaign

Aggravated battery was reported on the 2500 block of West Springfield Ave. just before midnight on Monday. According to the report, the victim was shot by an unknown person.

Violation of an order of protection was reported on the 2200 block of North Prospect Ave. around 2:30 p.m. on Monday. According to the report, a female victim had reported an emergency order of protection had been violated.

University

Theft was reported at Daniels Hall, 1010 West Green St., Urbana on Sunday. According to the report, both of the victim’s bicycle tires had been stolen off of a bicycle rack and were valued at around $200.

Theft was reported at Daniels Hall, 1010 West Green St., Urbana on Saturday. According to the report, one of the victim’s bicycle tires had been stolen off of their bicycle at a rack. The tire was valued at $160.

Urbana

Animal cruelty was reported on the 100 block of South High Cross Road around 3 p.m. on Monday. According to the report, an adult long-haired German shepherd was left in a vehicle for an extended period of time while the owner was shopping. The animal was transported to a veterinarian for assessment, and the owner was issued a notice to appear in court.
