An arrest was made for possession of a controlled substance near First and Healey streets, Champaign at 10:17 p.m. on Monday. According to the report, police arrested the offender after stopping his vehicle and noticing an outstanding Cook County arrest warrant after a records check.
Urbana
Theft $500 and under was reported on the 700 block of West Nevada Street around 8 a.m. on Jan. 26. According to the report, the victim’s package was taken from in front of his apartment.
Identity theft was reported on the 1400 block of Silver Street around 4:41 p.m. on Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender used the victim’s information to obtain a lease for an apartment.
