Champaign

A residential trespassing was reported in the 200 block of East John Street around 6:30 a.m. on Friday. According to the report, the suspect refused to leave the residency when asked. He was arrested for trespassing and resisted the officers during the arrest.

A theft was reported on the 200 block of West John Street around 1:30 a.m. on Friday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole the victim’s cellphone estimated at over $500.

A burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 3200 block of Florence Drive around midnight on Friday. According to the report, a purse or wallet was stolen along with a driver’s license, an identification item and a credit card.

A search warrant was reported and issued on the 1000 block of North Fifth Street on Thursday around 12 p.m. According to the report, investigators arrested two individuals for weapon charges and one of them for drug offenses.

An incident of domestic battery was reported on the 1900 block of Florida Avenue around 5 p.m. on Thursday. According to the report, the offender and the victim were in a dating relationship, and the offender struck the victim in the face. The offender was arrested.

A residential burglary was reported on the 600 block of Oakland Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to the report, the offender entered the victim’s apartment without permission and stole two electronic games, an electronic gaming system, a safe, an identification item and four pieces of jewelry, including two watches and a bracelet.
