Champaign

A case involving an unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of cannabis and possession of a stolen firearm was reported on the 1100 block of West Bradley Avenue. According to the report, officers received information that a wanted subject was at the bus stop at Bradley and McKinley avenues. The subject was located, arrested and was found in possession of a stolen firearm.

An aggravated battery was reported on the 1200 block of North Walnut Street around 10 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the intoxicated victim was choked by the suspect and then dragged outside the residence. The suspect was not located.

University

Three thefts were reported at the I Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 S. First St., on Wednesday. According to the report, the women’s vehicles were entered without permission on Sunday, and various items with an estimated value of $1,262 were stolen. It is not known if the vehicles were left unlocked prior to the burglaries.

Urbana

A crisis intervention was reported at Presence Covenant Medical Center, 1400 W. Park St., around 6 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the victim was found outside a local hospital in a wheelchair, highly intoxicated, aggressive and unable to provide for her well-being. The victim was taken to the hospital for an involuntary petition.

A case of criminal damage to property and a violation of bail bond was reported on the 300 block of Stebbins Drive around 8 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the offender damaged the victim’s car by setting items on fire on top of the vehicle in a parking lot. The offender therefore violated his court-ordered bail bond.
