Champaign

Aggravated discharge of a firearm was reported on the 1800 block of Valley Road around 1:31 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the reporting party woke up when he heard gunshots. He then saw an unknown male running westbound. 

University

Nothing to report.

Urbana

Theft over $500 was reported on the 1100 block of West Oregon Street around 2:21 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown offender took the victim’s phone, wallet and contents from an outdoor seating area before running off. The victim was not located but they later recovered the phone after tracking it. 

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 1200 block of East Harding Drive around 2:01 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the offender damaged the victim’s door frame by kicking it. The offender has not yet been located.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 1000 block of Kerr Avenue around 10:12 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown offender entered the victim’s vehicle and removed property from it.
