University

An arrest was made on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol near Green and Wright streets around 2:57 a.m. on Saturday. According to the report, Student Patrol officers called police when they saw the offender was unconscious in the driver’s seat of his car while it was parked and not running. 

An arrest was made on the charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, intent to deliver between 500 to 2,000 grams of cannabis, and possession of a controlled substance on the 3700 block of Colleen Drive around 10:57 a.m. on Thursday. According to the report, members of the Champaign County Street Crimes Task Force obtained a search warrant for the offender’s apartment after they learned he was expecting a delivery containing cannabis through a package delivery service. After confirming the offender had accepted the package, police searched his home and found two firearms and LSD.

Urbana

Aggravated assault was reported on Lincoln and Bradley avenues around 5:11 p.m. on Saturday. According to the report, during a road rage incident, two unknown offenders revealed firearms and threatened to shoot the victim. 

Forgery was reported on the 200 block of North Vine Street around 10:21 a.m. on Saturday. According to the report, the unknown offender presented fake currency at an Urbana business.

Residential burglary and criminal damage to property were reported on the 1700 block of East Florida Avenue around 12:42 p.m. on Friday. According to the report, an unknown offender gained access to the victim’s apartment by kicking down his door. He then stole multiple items. The victim was not present at the time of the incident.
