The spring elections for the positions of Student Trustee on the Board of Trustees, senators on the Illinois Student Senate and members of the SORF Board will be elected on March 8 and 9, 2005. At the current time, the Student Election Commission (SEC) has posted the petition for inclusion on the ballot and other important information on the SEC Web site: https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ro/www/StudentElectionCommission/. IN ORDER TO BE INCLUDED ON THE BALLOT, students must complete and return a nominating petition before noon on Feb. 22, 2005, to the Illini Union Information Desk. I hope that all students with an interest in these important forms of government on this campus will seriously consider running in the Spring 2005 Election.
