Ever since Chancellor Jones called for students to go back to their permanent address, the University of Illinois campus has been bleak. According to Division Management of Information, 12,288 students and faculty are from Cook County, Illinois. People in this region have been adjusting to their new life and practice of social distancing. People are recommended to avoid contact with others as much as possible and have at least a minimum distance of six feet between each other.

On Saturday evening, residents of the 1400 block of Farwell, Rogers Park, planned a Chicago Sing Along. The event would feature residents opening their windows and stepping outside at a safe distance to sing along to Bon Jovi’s    “Livin’ On A Prayer” broadcasted on Chicago’s classic rock station, The Drive. Residents in the apartment complex on Farwell gathered and spread hope amidst the current state of Illinois.
