Champaign

An arrest was made on the charges of burglary, resisting a police officer and criminal damage to property at Village Pantry on the 1200 block of North Mattis Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, a witness reported a burglary and police saw the suspect outside of the store, who then attempted to flee. The suspect was subsequently arrested.

University

Nothing to report.

Urbana

Aggravated discharge of a firearm was reported near Goodwin Avenue and Eads Street around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender fired a gun in the direction of the victim’s home. A projectile and five shell casings were recovered.  

Criminal defacement of property was reported at the Urbana Parking Deck on the 100 block of West Main Street around 8 a.m. on Thursday. According to the report, an unknown offender spray painted graffiti at various locations inside a stairwell.
