An arrest was made on the charges of having no Firearm Owners Identification card and criminal damage to property in the 400 block of West University Avenue around 11 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the suspect had a verbal argument with a hotel manager regarding a refund which was denied because the room was rented to a different person. The suspect attempted to damage hotel property. While the suspect was speaking with police, he claimed to have a handgun, but the suspect did not have a valid FOID or concealed carry license. The suspect was taken into custody but did not have a firearm and was released.
