Arrests were made on the charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving without a license and for illegal possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle near Green and Chestnut streets around 1 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, two suspects were initially stopped in a vehicle for driving without headlights when it was discovered the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Officers conducted a pat-down search of the passenger, and after finding a loaded gun, the passenger resisted arrest.

Aggravated assault was reported in the 1100 block of West University Avenue around 1 p.m. on Saturday. According to the report, an unknown offender brandished and pointed a weapon at the victim in the parking lot of a local business.
