Lieutenant Joseph McCullough investigates a traffic violation on Friday, Sep. 23 2016. A 17-year-old male was killed after a shooting in Champaign on Thursday night.

Residential burglary was reported in the 1600 block of Valley Road around 7 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, the victim called the break-in odd and reported that an unknown offender removed her underwear and socks from her laundry and then left a smeared handprint on her bathroom vanity mirror. There were no signs of forced entry.

Theft over $500 was reported in the 1700 block of Cunningham Avenue around 10 a.m. on Friday. According to the report, an unknown offender removed and stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s business vehicle.
