An arrest was made on the charges of unlawful use of a weapon, armed violence and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver in the 2000 block of Perkins Road, Urbana around 6 a.m. on Thursday. According to the report, police executed a search warrant on the suspect’s apartment as part of an armed robbery investigation and found two loaded firearms as well as 400 grams of cannabis and cannabis packaging supplies. 

Check fraud was reported at Flightstar, 7 Airport Road, Savoy around 4 p.m. on Thursday. According to the report, an employee reported that someone had cashed a forged check and withdrew money from a Flightstar bank account. The account was refunded by the bank after the forgery was reported.

Urbana

Possession of a controlled substance and delivery of cannabis over 30 grams was reported in the 00 block of East Chalmers Street around 2 p.m. on Thursday. According to the report, a package was intercepted and was found to contain 565.2 grams of cannabis flowers and 858.5 grams of edible cannabis. Police then conducted a controlled delivery of the intercepted package and then executed a search warrant on the delivery address, where they found an additional 62 grams of cannabis and small amounts of other controlled substances.
