Homecoming Comedy Show featuring Jay Pharoah

Main Quad

The comedian, known for his work on Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central will be performing on the Quad.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 26

Spirit Day 

8:00 a.m.  

Main Quad

Students show school spirit by wearing orange and stopping by the Quad for pictures, food deals and a surprise giveaway.

Greeks Support Homecoming BBQ and Showcase

4:00 p.m.  

Main Quad

Open to all University students, the BBQ offers free food and t-shirts and a showcase of members of the Black Greek Council and United Greek Council.

Thursday, Oct. 27

Dierks Bentley Somewhere on a Beach Tour

7:30 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.

State Farm Center

Tickets are on sale now for the concert, featuring country singer Dierks Bentley and special guests Randy Houser and Drake White and The Big Fire.

Friday, Oct. 28

The Art of Coach Bob Zuppke Exhibition

8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday

Alice Campbell Alumni Center

The exhibit features art created by Robert Zuppke, Illinois’s longest-serving football coach.

Block Party

5 p.m.-6 p.m.   

Between Henry Administration Building and the English Building

Organized by the Student Alumni Ambassadors, the event provides games and entertainment before the Homecoming Parade.

Homecoming Parade

6 p.m.  

Starts at Sixth Street and Loredo Taft Drive, circles the Quad and ends on Nevada Street

Pep Rally

7 p.m.  

Main Quad

The Pep Rally features a performance from the Marching Illini and speeches by campus leaders.

Stargaze at the Observatory with the 12-inch Brashear telescope.

Engineering at Illinois Homecoming Tailgate

9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

All College of Engineering students and alumni are invited for brunch and tailgating before the football game.

Department of Economics Breakfast Tailgate

9 a.m.-11 a.m.  

David Kinley Hall Lawn

Register online for the tailgate, which is free for Economics students and alumni.

LAS Homecoming Celebration

9 a.m.-11 a.m.  

Activities and Recreation Center

College of Liberal Arts  alumni and Sciences gather to have brunch and entertainment before the football game.

University of Illinois Alumni Association Homecoming Tailgate

9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Grange Grove

University of Illinois Alumni Association members and guests will tailgate in Grange Grove before kickoff. Annual and Life members of the Alumni Association can attend for free, additional guests can purchase tickets.

106th Homecoming Football Game: University of Illinois vs. University of Minnesota

11 a.m.   

Memorial Stadium

The Fighting Illini take on the University of Minnesota Gophers on Saturday morning.

Homecoming Business Bash

1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.  

Lot 31 off of First Street and Kirby Avenue

After the game, join the College of Business Alumni Association for a tailgate with food, a cash bar and a DJ.

Mathematics Homecoming Party

2 p.m.-4 p.m.  

Outside of Altgeld Hall

Students, faculty and alumni of the department of mathematics are invited to come enjoy a complimentary buffet after the football game.

Pentatonix: The World Tour 2016 with special guest Us The Duo

8 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m.  

State Farm Center

The Grammy-winning a cappella group will be performing with special guest Us The Duo. Ticket are on sale now.

African-American Homecoming CRCE Party
