Weber to make rounds on ESPN for a day

Bruce Weber is taking his basketball expertise to ESPN.

Weber, who became the first coach in Big Ten history to win back-to-back outright Big Ten championships in his first two seasons, will visit the ESPN Studios in Bristol, Conn., today.

The head basketball coach is scheduled to appear several times during the afternoon and evening in various mediums, including ESPN.com, ESPN Radio, ESPN News and ESPN.

Among the highlights of the trip will be the head coach’s appearances on SportsCenter on ESPN, Classic Now on ESPN Classic, 4 Qtrs and The Hot List on ESPN News. He will also Chat on ESPN.com at 2 p.m. (CST) and make appearances on ESPNU and Gamenight.

Weber led the Illini to the 2005 NCAA Final Four and to Illinois’ first-ever appearance in the NCAA Championship game. He was also named 2005 Coach of the Year by nine organizations. Two of his former players, Luther Head and Deron Williams, were drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft last spring.

Weber will be featured on wraps throughout the night for various basketball games that are scheduled that evening. He will also appear at halftime and between games on ESPN Network.
