After taking first place at the Illini Challenge a week ago, the men’s cross country team looks to build some momentum when they travel to take part in the Notre Dame invitational this weekend. One team member looking to make an impact will be redshirt senior Jon Houseworth. Even before becoming a part of the Illini team, Houseworth says he always wanted to be a runner.

In addition to the occasional mile, Houseworth says he played other sports when he was in high school.

Heading into his final season at the U of I, Houseworth says he has high expectations for himself,
