Prepvolleyball.com ranked Illinois’ volleyball recruiting class at No. 6 on Tuesday.

The Illini signed five athletes ranked in the top 100. They are: Hillary Haen, a 5-10 setter from Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, Ill.; Laura DeBruler, a 5-10 outside hitter from Downers Grove North High School; Johannah Bangert, a 6-1 middle blocker from Washington (Mo.) High School; Nicole Kemp, a 6-1 middle blocker from Joliet Catholic High School; and Abby Nelson, a 6-3 middle blocker from Chicago Marist High School.

Haen is one of the top three setters in the nation to come out of high school this year.

“It’s great that others have recognized the talent and ability of this class,” Illinois head coach Don Hardin said in a press release.

“Illinois fans should strap themselves in for a great ride for the next few years.”
