Senior third baseman Dominic Altobelli batted 2-for-4 with two doubles for the Illini and led all players with three RBIs. Shortstop Brandon Wikoff, a junior, hit 2-for-3 with a double also.

Hartford (1-9) has struggled to find an identity so far this season. The lone bright spot for the Hawks on Saturday was junior Mike Amendola. The catcher, who was batting .455 to lead the team heading into Saturday’s contest, went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Illini.

The Illini will conclude play in Florida with a three-game series against Central Connecticut State (4-3).
