The Illinois softball team (22-11, 5-3 Big Ten) fell at Ohio State on Saturday afternoon, 5-0. The Illini could not get their offense going, as Buckeye pitcher Kim Reeder allowed just three hits.

After three scoreless innings, Ohio State’s Alicia Herron hit a three-run home run to put the Buckeyes ahead. Ohio State added two runs in the fifth.

The Illini’s best scoring chance came in the seventh inning, when they had runners at second and third with just one out, but Reeder retired the last two batters to end it.
