Memorial Stadium sits empty after severe weather conditions led to Friday night’s game against Kent State being postponed.

By Daily Illini Staff Report

After more than two hours of delays, Friday’s Illinois football game against Kent State has been rescheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m.

The new start time was announced late Friday night after unexpected severe thunderstorms rolled through the Champaign-Urbana area. Saturday’s game will not be broadcast, per the University, but will be streamed online by the Big Ten Network.

All tickets from Friday are valid for Saturday’s game. Additionally, the University is sending two additional tickets to season ticket holders for the Sept. 26 game against Middle Tennessee, and University students’ admission will be waived with a valid I-Card, according to a University release.
