180: Ke’Shawn Vaughn finished with 180 rushing yards, the most by an Illinois true freshman since Rocky Harvey’s 215 in 1998.

100: Josh Ferguson and Vaughn were the first 100-yard rushing duo for the Illini since Troy Pollard and Donovonn Young teamed up to run through Bill Cubit’s Western Michigan team.

595: Illinois’ total offensive yardage compared to Purdue’s total 263 offensive yards.

7.5: Illinois averaged 7.5 yards a play. Purdue managed only 3.5 yards a play. This came after going just 2.4 yards a play in last weeks 39-0 loss to Purdue.

13: Clayton Fejedelem continued proving his worth to Illinois, netting 13 total tackles with two TFLs.

Game to remember: Freshman Ke’Shawn Vaughn had a career day. He finished with 180 rushing yards on 16 carries, leading the Illini. He had two touchdowns, including one 78-yarder. He also had one catch for 23 yards.

Game to forget: Purdue quarterback David Blough. He threw two interceptions and Illini defenders dropped four more. He was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week last week for his performance against Nebraska, but couldn’t follow up
