Former Illinois defensive lineman Lere Oladipo announced Tuesday night he has entered the transfer portal via Twitter.

The 6-foot, 3-inch sophomore was dismissed from the team for violating team rules on Nov. 19 after being suspended by the team following a win over Connecticut on Sept. 7.

His suspension came following an allegation for domestic abuse, made by a University of Illinois student who claims she was romantically involved with Oladipo.

Oladipo appeared in six games, tallying eight tackles — including one sack — during his time as an Illini.
