Tim Beckman wasn’t the only coach involved in player mistreatment and injury abuse with the Illinois football team

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR MIKE THOMAS/ INTERIM CHANCELLOR BARBARA WILSON announced (day) that ASSISTANT COACHES NAMES HERE (HAVE) been fired.

NAME was fired after the complete report from the Franczek Radelet independent investigation of player mistreatment and injury abuse was released to the University. The report stated that NAME knew of the abuse and WHATEVER ELSE A PRESS RELEASE TELLS US.

NAME has been with the Illinois football program since DATE.

On August 28, about a week after receiving the initial findings of the report, Thomas fired Beckman, after the initial findings from the report indicated Beckman mistreated players — including threatening to take away scholarships.

Bill Cubit was promoted to interim head coach upon Beckman’s dismissal.

The investigation was prompted in part by Twitter allegations made by former Illini Simon Cvijanovic in May. In the following days, former Beckman players from Illinois and Toledo also spoke out about their treatment at the hands of the former head coach.
