In nature, nice guys likely to finish first

In regards to “Men Forced to Play Nature’s Game”, the author managed to oversimplify his own argument. Certainly reproduction can be seen as a competition from an evolutionary standpoint, and thus “second base” could be seen as an accomplishment. However, from the same standpoint, the fittest man would be the one that reproduces the most. Continuous reproduction would thus be the greatest accomplishment achieved with a committed partner.

Thus, men must gain women’s trust in order to win the competition of reproduction. Those men who adhere to the traditional “cliché” of romance and sexuality (like those nice guys the author doomed to bachelorhood) will most likely be more successful than those that find touching a boob to be a larger accomplishment than achieving trust.
