The GEO will be holding a strike authorization vote from November 4th to the 6th. Passing of the vote authorizes the creation of a strike committee, the members of which would determine a strike plan before calling a strike. GEO Communications Officer Peter Campbell stated that the GEO cannot speak for other faculty, however some have stated they are likely to cancel classes in the event of a strike. Such a decision will be determined by the department and faculty heads individually.
