I-74 bridge lighting work pushed back until today

Iowa Department of Transportation workers have been trying since Monday to make some lighting repairs on the Illinois-bound lanes of the Interstate 74 bridge between Bettendorf and Moline.

But work has been postponed because of the weather.

Crews are going to give it a try again today — weather permitting — which means the right lane of  I-74 from the Grant Street to the State Street exits could be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The State Street onramp to I-74 also will be closed at this time.

Also, Wells Ferry Road in Bettendorf is closed at the Interstate 80 bridge while crews remove the wreckage from a minivan, semi crash that occurred early this morning. The wreckage is expected to be removed in the next couple of hours.

Other road work to keep an eye out for today
