    Illini squeak by Hawkeyes

It was deja vu all over again as Illinois held an early 10 point second half lead on Iowa before allowing the Hawkeyes to claw their way back in it.

But behind key late buckets by Tyler Griffey and Mike Davis the Illini were able to escape Iowa City Wednesday night with a win 57-49 .

Demetri Mccamey led the Illini (15-8, 7-3) with 15 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds.

The Orange and Blue now head back home to prepare for a fifth-ranked Michigan State squad that will be hungry after their defeat in Madison against Wisconsin last night.
