The front page of the DI featured the non-results of Tuesday’s primaries. Unfortunately, the DI referred to Quinn, Hynes and Giannoulis as the “Democrat Candidates.”
This is standard for Fox News, perhaps, but is incorrect and frequently used by conservatives (who believe it sounds slightly unpleasant or pejorative) – never by neutral news outlets. The correct adjective is “Democratic,” not “Democrat,” which is a noun.
