University Housing is presenting a haunted house in an attempt to win one of the “most prestigious awards in college and university culinary arts.”
University Housing Dining Services staff members will host and participate in the haunted house, according to a release. The event is free of charge to all I-card holders and their guests, with the card holder present.
University Housing staff members have hosted the event for more than a decade, but this year, the haunted house and monthly theme meal will be submitted for the National Association of College & University Food Services Loyal E. Horton Dining Award.
“In the past, Dining Services staff have dressed up and participated. This year we are excited that several volunteer student groups are joining us in staffing the event,” said food administrator Tina Davis in the release.
The haunted house will be on Oct. 27 and 31, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Dining and Residential Programs building.
