    h2. Champaign

    – A theft was reported on Sunday just after 11 a.m. in the 00 block of University Avenue. According to the report, an unknown suspect took the victim’s wallet.

    – A burglary was reported on Sunday just after 9 p.m. at Quiznos in

    the 700 block of Neil Street. According to the report, an unknown

    suspect stole numerous food items from the business.

    – A criminal damage to property was reported on Sunday just after 3

    a.m. at Wingin’Out in the 300 block of Green Street. According to the report, an unknown suspect damaged the victim’s vehicle.

    – A theft was reported on Sunday just after 7 p.m. at The Phoenix

    Tavern in the 200 block of Neil Street. According to the report, the

    subject took the victim’s tote bag and contents while at a bar.

    – A criminal damage to property was reported on Sunday at Papa Del’s

    in the 200 block of Green Street. According to the report, an unknown offender threw a glass bottle breaking a pickup truck topper window, and a second vehicle was keyed on both sides of the pickup bed.

    – Two arrests were made for possession of a controlled substance for

    possession of cannabis and for obstruction of justice/destroying

    evidence, on Sunday just after 9 p.m. near Goodwin Avenue and Illinois Street. According to the report, Covington’s vehicle was pulled over after reportedly not signaling properly during a turn.

    – A 21-year-old Champaign resident was arrested for an outstanding

    Bond County warrant for failure to appear on Sunday just after 10 p.m. near Taft Hall, 1213 S. Fourth Street. According to the report, U. of I. Police responded after a security officer at the residence hall reported a person acting suspiciously.

    – An arrest was made for driving under the influence of alcohol,

    illegal transportation of alcohol and for operating an uninsured

    vehicle on Saturday just after 10 p.m. in the 100 block of East Kirby Avenue. According to the report, police sought out the vehicle after a person called to report a drunken driver, and the vehicle was pulled over for crossing the center line; she also was ticketed for improper lane usage.
