Mitch Altman, President and CEO of Cornfield Electronic and inventor, will lead a soldering workshop where anyone can learn how to make their own “multi-color blinky light robot badge,” according to Laura Haber, Program Director at Allen Hall.
Altman is best known for inventing the TV-B-Gone remote control, which turns off TVs in public places. He is also a regular contributor to MAKE Magazine and created one of MAKE Magazine’s most popular DIY projects, the Brain Machine.
Recently, Altman has been on the road holding workshops and teaching people how to make things with microcontorllers and open source hardware kits.
The soldering workshop will be held on Feb. 27 in the South Rec. Room of Allen Hall at 7 p.m. Anyone can attend.
