The UI Communications Library has made multiple upgrades in an effort to increase awareness of global media among all students on campus.

The upgrades include eight 52-inch LCD screens that have access to satellite news. Satellite news from Africa, China, Europe, India, Korea, Latin America, the Middle East, and Russia can be streamed to the TVs. The library will also feature independent audio access to each channel via iPod or FM device and the ability to download video content. Additional electrical outlets and new furniture has been added throughout the library as well.
