The Bald is Beautiful Tour benefit concert will be held tonight. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Dining and Residential Programs building. The concert is free, but a $5 donation is suggested.

The event will feature a cappella groups from around campus including Girls Next Door, Illini Awaaz, Rip Cords, Chai Town, No Strings Attached, Other Guys and No Comment.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Baldrick’s foundation. The volunteer-driven foundation helps fund research to find cures for childhood cancer. St. Baldrick’s was started in 2000 when three reinsurance executives turned their industry’s St. Patrick’s Day party into a head-shaving event to benefit children with cancer. Since 2000, the foundation has raised over $117 million for research.
