A 19-year-old male was arrested today on the charge of reckless conduct in connection with two incidents involving pedestrians being struck by blow darts on Aug. 20, according to a press release from the Champaign Police Department.
The first incident occurred at 8:25 p.m. in the 400 block of East John Street when a 20-year-old female reported being struck by a blow dart in the left forearm. She received treatment for her injury at a local hospital.
The second incident occurred at 10 p.m. in the 300 block of South First Street when a 35-year-old male reported being struck by a blow dart in the left forearm. The victim immediately pulled the dart out of his arm and sought medical treatment at a local hospital.
Police found the suspect at Parkland College after receiving an anonymous tip. The suspect was interviewed at the Champaign Police Department and was later arrested.
