    Police blotter Sept. 13, 2013

    Champaign

    —Theft was reported at around 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Birch Street. According to the report, a bicycle was stolen by an unknown offender.

    —Criminal damage to property was reported at around 7 a.m. Tuesday at Sherwin Williams, 702 W. Marketview Dr. According to the report, windows at the business had been shattered by an unknown offender.

    —Theft of a motor vehicle was reported at around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of North Walnut Street. According to the report, the vehicle had been stolen by an unknown offender and was recovered in Urbana.

    —Retail theft was reported by County Market at 331 E. Stoughton St. on Tuesday at around 2:30 p.m. According to the report, the suspect entered the store and placed three bottles of liquor in his book bag and exited the store without paying.

    Urbana

    —Aggravated assault was reported on the 500 block of East Green Street at around 10 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victim told police that the offender attempted to stab him with a knife. The offender denied the claim. Police said the victim was not credible.

    —A 47-year-old female was arrested for domestic battery on the 900 block of North Gregory at around midnight Thursday. According to the report, the suspect and the victim are in a dating relationship together and got into an argument about who pays the bills. The suspect then allegedly pulled out a pair of scissors on the victim and kicked him in the groin.

    —Theft and criminal damage to property were reported in the 1200 block of East Florida Avenue at around 7 p.m. Tuesday.  According to the report, an unknown offender cut the lock off of the victim’s bicycle and stole the bicycle.
