Police blotter for March 3, 2015

Champaign

— A 36-year-old female was arrested on the charge of possession of cannabis in the 500 block of West Marketview Drive around 2:30 a.m. Friday.

According to the report, a suspicious vehicle was observed in a hotel parking lot. Officers passing the vehicle smelled burning cannabis and a blunt was observed in the ashtray of the car.

— A 19-year-old male was arrested on the charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of drug equipment around 1 a.m. Sunday.

According to the report, a firearm was fired at an unruly party. The offender was located and found in possession of a weapon and a controlled substance.

— A 21-year-old male was arrested on the charges of battery and resisting a police officer near the intersection of Fifth and Healey streets around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to the report, police saw the man engage in a physical altercation at Fat Sandwich Company, 502 E. John St., and ran from police when he was told to stop.

— A 24-year-old female was arrested on the charges of driving with a revoked license and possession of cannabis near the intersection of University Avenue and Randolph Street around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

According to the report, the offender’s vehicle was pulled over for having an unreadable rear registration and no rear registration light.
