    Police blotter for April 27, 2016

    Champaign

    A case of criminal damage to property was reported in the 300 block of Cedar Street around 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
    According to the report, the victim’s vehicle sustained damage, including its four tires.
    A theft was reported in the 900 block of Crescent Drive around 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
    According to the report, the victim’s cell phone had been stolen from the gym locker they had been using.
    University
    A 19-year-old female was issued a notice to appear in court in the 800 block of South Wright Street around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
    According to the report, the notice to appear in court was for retail theft at the Illini Union Bookstore. Security had called police after seeing the offender conceal several items in her clothing, totaling a retail value of $27.99.

    Urbana
    Three people were arrested for robbery at Casey’s General Store in the 2100 block of East University Avenue around 3:00 a.m. on Monday.
    According to the report, arrestee 3 had entered the store and took money by force. Arrestees 1 and 2 were driving a vehicle and are suspected to have known about the robbery.
    A case of aggravated domestic battery was reported in the 1800 block of South Cottage Grove around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
    According to the report, the offender battered the victim, and placed their forearm against the victim’s’ throat preventing the victim from breathing. The offender and the victim are in a dating relationship.
