An arrest was made on charges of theft near Philo Road and East Mumford Drive around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the suspect and her friend were stopped by police because they were walking away from a closed business that was recently burglarized multiple times. Officers discovered that the suspect was the subject of two Champaign County warrants and the suspect was then arrested.
Theft over $500 was reported on the 2400 block of Prairie Drive around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender grabbed the victim’s purse from her hands and fled.
