University Housing will be holding its Grand Opening of the Student Dining and Residential Programs Building at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct 22.
The building is located at 301 E. Gregory Drive in Champaign and includes Ikenberry Dining Hall and Timothy J. Nugent Hall.
The Ikenberry Dining Hall serves seven different stations of food, such as the pasta and baked goods sections, according to the University Housing website. Nugent Hall houses 150 residents, including those with physical disabilities from Beckwith Residence Hall.
At the event there will be remarks from Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Renee Romano, President Michael Hogan, Trustee Karen Hasara, President Emeritus Stanley Ikenberry, Director of University Housing John Collins, Chancellor Robert Easter, College of Applied Health Science Dean Tanya Gallagher, Director Emeritus Timothy Nugent and resident David Kirby.
