Bowling and music enthusiasts are encouraged to check out the Homecoming event, Bowling Through the Decades, at the Illini Union Rec Room on Friday.
Open to everyone, the event allows alumni and current students to enjoy hours of music from different generations while bowling at discounted rates, according to Justin Brinkmeyer, retail service supervisor for the Illini Union Rec Room.
“Each hour we go through the music of the different decades while bowling. We start out with the 50s and 60s and work our way up to the present,” he said. “That way, people from our older alumni up to our current students can enjoy music and bowling.”
Student rates will apply to everybody at the event, at $3.30 for one game, according to Brinkmeyer.
He added the event has been done in past years and has always been popular.
